Use aggregates to apply anti slip floor coating
A fall on the floor or on the staircase can force you to go for a prolonged rest which eventually prevents you from carrying on your routine activities. In other words, the slippery floor can cause physical as well as financial harm. To thwart this possibility, civil engineers resort to different techniques to provide the residents with anti-slip floor coating. While some engineers think that installing specially designed anti slip tiles is effective in increasing the resistance level of the floor, others are of the opinion that monitoring the entire flooring process is a more comprehensive and beneficial way of reducing the possibility of slip and fall.
Using Coarse aggregates: If you are interested in the inherent resistance power of a floor, the task of creating such an anti slip floor coating begins from the stage of rolling down the floor. At the stage of applying the primer coat, you should use judicious amount of aggregates. The amount of the aggregates to be included will depend on the resistivity level you want. Adding these aggregates will increase the friction which is indirectly proportional to the chances of fall. The most widely used additives consist of a mixture of granite and bauxite. But marble aggregates can also be used in the coating, if you are concerned about a little ornamentation of the floor.
Using quartz sealer: At the level of sealing the aggregate layer, you can use quartz aggregates. The quartz on the floor will radically improve the friction rate. But while applying this anti slip floor coating technique, one must be thoroughly careful about the evenness of the floor. After applying the sealer rich in quartz aggregates, the leveling should be done properly to ensure that the underlying granite layer is effectively concealed and quartz particles do not stick out of the floor. However, for better anti slip floor coating, you can use larger quartz aggregates available in the market.
Floor texture: Another way of creating anti slip floor coating is to create small engraved textures on the floors. These textures will help in increasing the grip of the floor. One can also choose smaller pieces of tiles. Using small tiles means the seams will be closer and they will increase the friction level when someone treads on the floor.
Epoxy or polyurea are commonly used for anti slip floor coating but when the floor is wet, these very elements become the cause of losing balance and subsequent falls. That is why keeping the floor dry is very important. However, with the progress of time which causes the wearing away of the floor, the coefficient of friction (COF) gets reduced. To avoid this, you can broadcast stone aggregates while creating the Epoxy floor. This will provide long term benefits.

Here is a good pad that is like the one I used to use. My pads didn't slip and I think this is the reason and its more comfortable for the horse.
