Flash, Using Actionscript to pull an external image into a movie clip?
The catch on it being I want the movie clip to be something. At the moment I am using the loader class to load an external png onto an empty movieclip but it sits there as a static image, unclickable, un-moving etc regardless of what actions and code there is around the movieclip itself.
How can I pull in am image to replace a movieclip and for the clip do still move or be interactive etc.
You can insert the following code into the frame that has the movieclip in it.

if you plan on using it in a button it is like this:

}
to speed up the project when your not using the movieclip image the exit button for the movie clip can contain an unload event:
