Galvanized steel sheets flat roof?
Plan to use large,flat sheets of galvanized steel to cover the Spanish style roof (veranda).Underneath exists a flat tile roof (which leaks).Before placing these slabs down, what can I coat the underside to help in added corrosion resistance.I suspect trapped moisture will become the big culprit.

The reason for leaks is the grout between the small (4"x8") roof tiles has failed.I believe concrete was used.
I think your suspicions about trapped moisture are legitimate. I also suspect that the sheets of steel that you are proposing will rust through in short order. What keeps the "flat tile roof" from leaking when it is newly installed? Shouldn't the repair or replacement of this material be pursued and not covered up with a temporary 'fix' such as sheets of steel? This seems to me that it would be detrimental to future repairs.
