When the summer heat scorches your yard, it can be a constant reminder just how hot and dry it truly gets in Houston during the summer. This summer, don't let your Houston landscaping dry out and suffer. Refresh your personal landscape with a variety of stunning water features.
Choosing the right water feature for your personal landscape is never about practical matters, like complex designs or a calculated rise in your home value. Instead, it's about meeting an emotional need within you that craves the soothing sights and sounds that only water can satisfy. Whether you want a large, elaborate feature installed by a Houston landscaping company, or a small, off-the-shelf element, a water feature will give you the serenity, relaxation and calm you seek.
Ponds
Add a natural look to your landscape with a water garden pond. Filled with whatever plants and fish you desire, they can be customized to fit into any area of your yard. Just imagine your very own water garden with water lilies floating around as yellow fantail fish swim just beneath the surface.
Koi ponds are specifically designed for the colorful, large, popular, Japanese fish of the same name. Their striking colors and patterns make them a favorite among the pond fish variety. Unlike the goldfish, the Koi has a symmetrical, torpedo-like shape with a tapering head and blood-red to deep-red patterns on their backs. This brilliance adds to their popularity as the most sought after pond fish. Koi are better suited for larger ponds, and, if properly cared for, can live up to 35 years!
Regardless of which pond you choose to compliment your landscape, you'll want to make sure you pick an ideal size, shape, and location to ensure the plants and fish thrive.
Fountains
Fountains can bring a sense of relaxation and serenity to your landscape with the restful ambience of a mountain stream, or the pretentious personality of a rising jet. Inspired by the geysers of Hawaii and Iceland, rising jet fountains are ideal for drawing attention to larger spaces. They make great centerpieces in the backyard for parties, and they create a more dramatic entrance out front.
Downward falls fountains are generally based on a freestanding design, which uses sculptures, figures or bowls to create a more tranquil feel for your landscape. A Houston landscaping company can match your natural stone pavers with the stone choice for your fountain.
Waterfalls
Contrary to popular belief, waterfalls actually don't use much water; they are energy efficient and cheap to maintain. Though they come in hundreds of pre-made designs, a manufactured waterfall can have multiple tiers or a single, long fall.
A house becomes a home when one's personality is added to the yard. Fresh Start Landscapes, a Houston landscaping company, is a dedicated company that values their customers. Is the Z-bubble shaft and the S15 blade a bad combo because it has 2 tapered points?
I have an Easton Z-bubble shaft, 85flex, where it tapers, then flares out to fit standard shafts.
I also have an Easton S15 composite blade, which also 'tapers' too (http://www.hockeylife.com/_static/webUpload/730/RBSYNS15_2.jpg)
I put the two together, does anyone think that is either a good or bad combination? They're both Easton.. and the Z-bubble is now the S15 so I thought this made sense.
It feels fine to me on wrist shots but it feels a little weirder on snap/slappers. Not sure if its in my head.
Is having 2 kick points (if it really is 2) a good or bad thing?
i think i know what youre talking about, i would try gettin a blade that does not have a taper and try that out for comparison. after that you should pick something out.
