Why doesn't Canada start its own Baseball league??
In Edmonton it was very sad when we lost our trappers (PCL) even though we had higher attendance than half the american teams in the league. The USA basically forced us to sell against our will because they didn't want to come up to the great white north. Now are AA cracker Cats (Independent league) just isn't the same. I think a Canadian league paying higher salaries than AAA minor leagues would create a competitive league taking the top career minor league players who are a bit older and won't get called up to the majors as well as bring top Canadian an american talent back from Japan.
Maybe the weather there isnt condusive to a full league, plus isnt the only "true" sport in Canada, hockey??
